How do you do these kinds of drawings?

These really aren't "drawings" per se. They're called fractals. Fractal art is a type of art all its own. Fractals are designs which are rendered in such programs such as: Apophysis, Ultra-Fractal, ChaosPro, Fractal Explorer, and more. One thing I have to say, you cannot create fractals in PhotoShop. It just doesn't work that way.

As for me, I use a program called Apophysis. I use Version 2.07b. It's in my Artist Notes on every single piece I post. The program is a fractal rendering program that is free to download and use.

That link gives you the latest version to download. You can also go to Apophysis.com and download from there too. But I believe the version that you get there is Version 2.02. Which is actually a good version to practice with until you're ready for more advanced techniques. That's how I did it!
