Brand New Art Features!

Journal Entry: Thu May 29, 2008, 1:10 PM
:iconfurrycuddleplz: What's New? :iconfurrycuddleplz:

So what's new?

Final exams...that's what.

It's been a tough last few weeks and I've haven't had a whole lot of time for my activity on DA, especially during the last week or so. Most of my time has been occupied with studying for exams, taking exams; worrying if I'm going to do well on them, and continuing my volunteer work with the Red Cross on the weekends. (Not to mention, sleeping in between when I get the chance. :ohmygod:)

I'm proud to say that I know I've done well on at least 3 of my more critical exams and am now just awaiting all the final points/grades from this last semester's hard work.

Also, I've been preparing for the first session of the Summer Semester, so that's been keeping me pretty busy as well. Registration, orientation, new schedules and all that goes with University life, but then again, I love a good challenge. I'm hoping this semester to get even more hands on experience with marine biology field research and enjoy it as much as I did the last semester.

------------------------------

New Friends and New Watchers:

For those that have added me to their DevWatch list...welcome! I really appreciate the support and I'm glad that you like my works enough to both fave them and keep track of new and upcoming future pieces. Thank you so very much, it's really appreciated.

For those that have commented, faved, and faved and run on my works, thank you, too....for that continued support. Again, it means much to me.

And for all my dear friends, whom I've known these past many months, I'm just so lucky to know you all. Such a warm and welcoming group of people, I couldn't be more honored to be called friend amongst you.

I also apologize if I cannot answer critique/comments right now that you leave on my art, I'll be able to as soon as exams are done and I'm settled into the new semester.

--------------------------------

New Features:

I'm hoping at least to get some new features up this week as well as submit some new works. Been going a bit crazy not being able to work on my art, so it'll be a welcome relief when I can finally concentrate on that.

--------------------------------

So once again:

Thank you; One and All! Your support, friendship, and encouragement is the greatest gift I could receive!

And that, my friends, is the balance and measure of my life at this time.

As always, many 's and much  in your lives,

-Morgan Chase

:iconnewglomp: DevWatch Art Features! :iconnewglomp:

This section of my journal is dedicated to both those that Watch me as well as those artists that I Watch. I've got five wonderful fractal artists featured this week and I have to say that it was extremely difficult to choose from all the beautiful works in their galleries over which to feature. If you'd like to see more of their work, please go and visit their respective galleries--you won't be disapppointed!

However: IF you don't want your art featured in this section, please drop me a note. Otherwise, please remember that ALL art featured in this section or any other of my journal is © to that particular artist and to no other!

Thanks and enjoy the art! -Morgan

:spotlight-left: Devious Gallery Spotlight: Jellaboom and klr620 :spotlight-right:

This week's Devious Gallery Spotlight is a double feature! So first up is *Jellaboom. My wonderful friend, Wendy, does some truly beautiful works! Her gallery is filled with a variety of art from breathtaking landscapes to multi-colored and wonderfully textured fractals! She uses rendering programs such as Terragen and Apophysis. Her gallery is a wondrous trip into the realm of imagination!

Here are some examples of her work:

:iconjellaboom: (Fractal Artist)

And for my second gallery feature this week, I've decided to feature another wonderful friend of mine and talented artist. Her name is *KLR620 or Katherine. Her gallery is a fantastic and delightful variety of many different and textured designs and just works of sheer beauty whose brilliant coloration just bring everything to life! She uses the fractal rendering program Apophysis.

It is also very important to note and to know that ANY and ALL artwork showcased and featured in this section or any other of my journal belongs only to the artist that created the original works and to no one else All artists featured here in my journal are always given proper credit as is their due! Also if you know of an artist that you'd like to see featured here, please note me with their dA name and a link to their gallery!

:iconfurrydanceplz: Creation Corner: Spiraling Emotions Series :iconfurrydanceplz:

I've finally managed to get a new series going. I'm calling it "Spiralling Emotions"--because the basic design is that of a spiral and emotions can translate into so many colors and designs. To me, emotions are a very work of art unto themselves. Not always perfect, not always understood, and each person that sees them on display always has their own opinion of them.

So the first four pieces in this series are uploaded now; with many more to come in the future when time permits.

(Edit: Normally I'm not into self promotion, but due to a glitch in my being able to submit things to the main fractal gallery, I'll post them up here. They can also be found in my main gallery as well!)

Enjoy!

Morgan

Blue is one of my favorite colors because I live around the deep blue waters of the ocean. So that's what this feature is about; the varied shades of blue. From the palest icy blue to the brilliant jeweled tones of sapphire blue to the deepest shadows of midnight. Enjoy! -Morgan

:iconfurrynuzzleplz: My Thanks! :iconfurrynuzzleplz:
I don't always have as much time as I would like to thank EVERYONE that either comments or faves my works. So it is with the deepest and most sincere thank you and appreciation that I write this. I truly appreciate every kind word, every comment, and every fave on each piece. (Even faving and running!) It means much to me that I have that kind of support in my art. And it's what both drives my passion to create more as well as just very heartening to see and read.

For those that add me to their Friend's List/DevWatch, a special thank you! I try to get around to those that do so that I may return the favor. Again, I appreciate the fact that so many others enjoy my works of art.

:butterflytwo: :butterflytwo: Creation Corner: Apophysis Scripts! :butterflytwo: :butterflytwo:

Apophysis Scripts: Hybridizing

I've been experimenting the last week or two with a script by *CabinTom called the Spiralia Script. I decided to have a bit of fun (don't blame me, it's the cold medicine making me do it!) and combine that script with another called "Reptile Lookalike" by *gitte. The results so far have been very interesting. I'll be posting up the best of those to my gallery.

  My Thanks!
